**** IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ATLANTIS SOFTWARE BETA TESTERS ****
This program is in early beta testing, do NOT distribute this version!!!
Beta programs are pre-release test versions, they have not been tested on
any system other than my own. This means you may well encounter problems
unique to your system. Please report any problems as soon as possible so
that they can be fixed.
As a beta program it is entirely possible that the next version will require
a complete reset and/or re-installation of the program. Steps are taken to
prevent this inconvienence, but be aware that the nature of beta programs
may make this step neccesary. If you are uncomfortable with this possibility,
then do not install this program.
Your Duties As A Beta Tester
As a Beta Tester you will be expected to give feedback on various aspects
of the program. I need to know immediately if you have any problems with
installation. You should read over all enclosed documentation, even if
you're already familiar with the program. If you find any part of the
documentation unclear or you think it can be improved, then let me know.
If the program ever aborts with an error, try to recreate the error. When
reporting bugs or problems please be concise and provide all neccesary
information. You may need to zip up the entire directory and send it to me.
Watch when other users are using the program. Does it seem user friendly?
Does it seem to default to the correct choice when [ENTER] is pressed?
Give feedback on any other area where you think the program could be
enhanced. Please note that is impossible to incorparate every suggestion
that I receive, but I do read and consider them all.
Differences Between Early Beta & Wide Beta
If this document is included in an archive, the program is "Early Beta",
meaning that only selected beta testers have access to it. Early Beta
programs should never be distributed! If you find a beta version of an
Atlantis Software available for download somewhere, it will be a "Wide
Beta" version. Wide Beta version are made available for download on
several BBS's in order to get feedback from users with a wide variety of
configurations. Wide Betas have been more thoroughly tested than Early Beta
versions. In many cases there is no difference between Wide Beta and the
release version other than the version number or designation.
